Washington University in St. Louis recognizes that many students prefer to use names other than their legal ones to identify themselves. You can alter your Preferred Name on your own by signing into WebStac.
Once you’ve made this change, place a Replacement Card Request.
Changes to an official legal name or social secutiy are directly handled by the Office of the University Registrar.
Individuals with multiple WashU titles (e.g. Student and Faculty-Staff), will only receive a single ID card for their primary affiliation.Get an Updated Card
If your card has been lost/stolen, contact WUPD immidiately and report that your card is missing. In response to your report, University Security will be able to temporarily disable your card and prevent your identity, access, and accounts from being used maliciously.
Our office can replace your lost/stolen card in-person. Fill out a Replacement Card Request. Since you cannot return your current card to us, you will be charged an administrative fee for the replacement.

You have control over what personal portrait is displayed on your ID card. As long as that photo follows our guidelines, it can be speedily approved and printed onto a new card.Submit a new ID Portrait
