FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I activate an account?
Students may activate their Campus Card Account in WebSTAC or in person at the Office of Residential Life. Employees may activate their account through HRMS Self-Service or at the Residential Life Center. Once you have activated your account, you may place value on your card by either authorizing a charge to a student account, payroll deduction, or by cash or check.

Does my account expire at the end of the school year?
No. Your account remains active until you leave the University.

Can I withdraw money from this account?
Refunds may only be received when you leave the University. Refunds will be applied to your student account. Remaining balances will be refunded minus a $10.00 administrative fee or the balance of the account, whichever is less.

Is there a spending limit placed on my account?
Yes! $2,000 daily limit has been set for the Campus Bookstore. $100 for Student Union and CS40 transactions. Because laundry controllers, vending machines, and print release stations are unattended, a $30 daily limit has been placed on these services. For WU Libraries printing, your balance will never show more than your daily limit of $30. Both vending and laundry readers will display your total balance although the daily limited remains. Of course, you can verify your total account balance when viewing your account in WebSTAC (students) or HRMS (employees).

Do I have to bill my student account or authorize a payroll deduction to place value on my account?
No. You may also download a form and use cash or check to add value to your account.

What do I do if I lose my ID card?
If you lose your ID card, you must immediately DEACTIVATE YOUR ACCOUNT. Deactivating your account will prevent anyone from using your card for purchases (i.e. laundry, vending, and meals). Students may DEACTIVATE their account 24/7 through WebSTAC, and employees through HRMS.

Deactivation of the Campus Card Account does not deactivate access to all campus services. Lost or stolen cards must be reported to Campus Police. If you have lost your card, a new card must be issued. For students, please visit the Office of Student Records. Danforth employees must visit Human Resources. School of Medicine employees must visit Access Control.

Can I see how my money was spent (e.g. $2.00 for printing on 8/24 and $1.25 for laundry on 8/25) ?
Yes. A complete transaction history is available on-line. Students will find their Transaction History in WebStac, Faculty and Staff view their Transaction History in HRMS Self Service.
